International Entry to Bromsgrove School (UK)
Bromsgrove's mission statement says - very deliberately - that the School wants to produce pupils who "respond" to change. Not "react" as if caught unaware, but "respond" as if purposefully answering a question. And the biggest questions facing humanity will only be answered if different races and cultures understand one another.
Though over twelve hundred of the fifteen hundred pupils in the constituencies of Bromsgrove School are British, Bromsgrove is home to almost forty different nationalities. We celebrate this and take enormous pride in the unique atmosphere such a demographic produces. Many large universities have less diversity than Bromsgrove, and when a pupil leaves this School, they will understand that no nation, no individual can stand alone. We dare to hope that seeds of future cooperation are sown in our classrooms, debating halls and playing fields.
Bromsgrove School is always delighted to consider bright, high achieving students who are likely to go on to top UK and other world-class universities. We do expect a reasonable level of fluency in the English language from the outset (though we offer a great deal of extra language support to our international pupils where it is needed). Pupils applying from outside the United Kingdom, are asked to apply via an educational agency. The main reasons we require the use of educational agents are to help pupils through the selection process, assist with paperwork, legalities and translation. In addition, since every pupil looking to enter Bromsgrove School has to sit our Entrance Examination, it is necessary for a registered body to administer testing.
If a pupil is already studying within the United Kingdom, we normally ask the pupil to visit Bromsgrove School to be interviewed and assessed.
International Summer School
For pupils aged 8 to 17, our aim is to provide young people with the opportunity to learn English, develop their social skills, improve their cultural awareness and most of all have fun, all while studying at Bromsgrove: a truly British way of life. All of our staff are suitably qualified, with the added advantage of the EAL teachers being recruited and vetted by International House Bristol.
Bromsgrove has its own on-site Health Centre with qualified nurses on-call round the clock and a Doctor available when needed. With world class education and sporting facilities and its own residential, sports and pastoral staff, Bromsgrove International Summer School aims to provide the best possible experience for its students.
Situated just 30 minutes drive from the UK’s “second city” Birmingham, Bromsgrove School is set within its own 100 acres of grounds. We are centrally located for international travel to/from Birmingham International (30 minutes drive) and Heathrow Airports (1 hour 40 minutes drive) and close to local and national rail and road links.
Bromsgrove also benefits from HTS (Highly Trusted Status) from the UK Border Agency so we can help with any visa requirements at no extra cost.

Bromsgrove School Mission Hills (Shenzhen)
was launched in Shenzhen in September 2016.
Bromsgrove School Mission Hills aims to educate local and international children living in Shenzhen and will follow a bilingual programme. The shared mission is to provide a rigorous, bilingual education which promotes a truly global perspective to its pupils, underpinned by the IB philosophy and Bromsgrove’s traditional standards and values. Mission Hills Pre-school is already operational, and the aim is to expand so that the School educates around 1600 students between the ages of 3 and 18.
The creation of Mission Hills International School has been spearheaded by Dr Catherine Chu, Executive Director of Mission Hills Group and Mission Hills Education. Dr Chu’s husband’s is an Old Bromsgrovian (Charles Tsai WG 1990-1994) and Catherine and Charles approached Bromsgrove at an OB reunion to suggest a collaboration between our two institutions, with Bromsgrove providing the educational programme and Mission Hills the infrastructure and facilities. We found an immediate affinity for the ideals of Mission Hills Education and we believe that we have much to offer the children in Shenzhen. However, we also believe that we have much to learn from the Chinese way of teaching. To blend these two great learning traditions is an exciting prospect.
Bromsgrove International School Thailand (Bangkok)
In 2005, the purpose built opened its doors close the Bangkok's new international airport. This momentous event warrants more than the paltry sentences offered here. Strange to think that for the first few boys of the medieval School, the concept would have been literally unimaginable. Now, opportunities for exchanges, GAP years and virtual communication and cooperation abound.
